ABOUT ME |
My mom taught art. More than that, she lived it, and therefore, so did my sisters and I. When I began high school, art class introduced me to the wonderful world of Adobe Photoshop. My life changed at that moment. My parents gifted us with Corel Draw for Christmas and I lost myself creating. I was on the Yearbook staff and went on to study Journalism at CMU. While at CMU, I took my first design course and fell... hard. What began in high school using Aldus Freehand, grew through first Pagemaker, then InDesign and culminated with over 20 years of design experience. I graduated with a BA, and have worked in the printing and design industry since 1999.
Took photos as a toddler... Along with art, I also grew up with a camera in hand. I have a passion for photography learned from my father and his father. During my college years, I cultivated that talent and refined my skill with knowledge. When my husband started his own Photography business in 2010, it was natural for me to help out as second camera. Since working for him at Dynamic Focus Photography my education - and skill - have both continued to grow. Started a novel in high school... I kept a journal as a young girl and then in high school began writing in earnest. I have rewritten the same few chapters many times as my style has developed. I have a trilogy planned, but in the meantime, I flex my writing muscles in all my design projects. I share my life with my husband, our son who has Down syndrome, two rambunctious cats, one shark and a variety of fish. |
